Jamie Bialkower is the director and founder of Jump Street Films, a label dedicated to the development, production and distribution of quality cinema. 

Jump Street’s distribution highlights include FREUD’S LAST SESSION, starring Sir Anthony Hopkins; Dito Montiel’s Sundance winner A GUIDE TO RECOGNISING YOUR SAINTS starring Robert Downey Jr.; and French hits THE GROCER’S SON and COPACABANA, starring Isabelle Huppert. Jump Street’s release of Russian critical darling THE ITALIAN saw the film gross more than $1 million at the Australian box office, making it one of the highest-grossing foreign films of 2008. Bialkower’s work with the Simon Wiesenthal Centre on the Australian and New Zealand release of documentary I HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN YOU, narrated by Academy Award® winner Nicole Kidman, culminated in a gala charity screening for the Holocaust Centre.

In 2024, 20 years after he first established the company, Bialkower launched the Jewish Australian Screen Fund to advance the depiction of Jewish Australians on screen, while advocating for Jewish filmmakers across all levels of the industry. In 2025, he produced four short films about post-October 7 life in Australia, including Jacob Melamed’s Bondi-set MEZUZAH MAN. Through 2026, he has been producing Danny Ben-Moshe’s feature documentary CANCELLED, exploring antisemitism in the cultural sector (set for release in November), and FREEDOM RIDES, a documentary in association with Stand Up about the allyship between First Nations and Jewish communities. He will next be in production on GOLEM by Idan Kotzen, the recipient of the inaugural Jewish Australian Screen Fellowship, and has feature films in development with writer/directors Anita Lester, Carly Brand, Justin Olstein and Richard Vilensky.

Bialkower started his career at the Village Roadshow Group and has built an extensive network of relationships with exhibitors, sales agents and festivals, strategically consulting on campaigns and brokering deals with networks, airlines and ancillary partners.
