Six-year-old Vanya is considered lucky in the children’s home where he lives: he will be adopted by a loving Italian couple. Serene life under the Mediterranean sun awaits him. Yet Vanya longs to find his own mother, so he embarks on a mysterious and amazing journey with a determination rarely seen at such a tender age. Vanya must suddenly take on responsibility for his own life as he enters a dangerous world. The world of children is a universe with its own laws, a realm in which sometimes one’s heart speaks louder than one’s intellect, and Vanya must triumph against adversity as he makes his own way.
